MEET APRIL FUREY
April Furey, a Connecticut native currently resides in CT with her three beautiful children Faith, Grace, and O’Connor. She earned her bachelor’s degree in special education from Central Connecticut State University. In 2003, after several years teaching at a local high school, she began her real estate career. In addition to working full time in real estate, April is a committed volunteer member of several organizations. She has served on the Board of Trustees for the school her children attended, The Fraser Woods Montessori School, where she served as the head of development, Parent Association President, and chairperson of the school auction. April also served on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit, Dream Come True of Western Connecticut, which fulfills the dreams of terminally, chronically, and seriously ill children. She was the chairperson for both fundraising and volunteers for the organization. While residing in Colorado from 2013-2016, she was a volunteer at her children’s school, The Montessori School of Evergreen. She facilitated in forming the schools first Parent Association as well as volunteered on the Development Committee. currently she is the Vice Present of US Horse Welfare and Rescue, an organization dedicated to saving America’s unwanted horses from slaughter through rescue, advocacy, education, community outreach, and supportive programs. April is active and has a wide variety of interests which include scrapbooking, hiking, golfing, camping, boating, and a general love of the outdoors.
